You guys.We just wrapped up The Followership Conference.It exceeded anything we could have hoped for. I'm serious. An absolute answer to prayer.It was all about how to actually follow Jesus, to do life his way. And WOW was it funWhy? The people. No one was trying to be cool. So thankful to Grace College, who hosted the event. Their event director said she'd never dealt with people like the people who'd come to this conference. Thoughtful, kind, looking out for each other... just plain different.Which is the whole point. Followers of Jesus aren't supposed to say "We're not perfect; we're just forgiven." We're supposed to be different; learning Jesus' way of living.We had a goal of giving to CURE International to heal the sick. We quadrupled it.Mike Donehey from Tenth Ave was amazing. Josh Havens from The Afters was amazing. Lance Ford was amazing. But none of the on stage people were more important than anyone else, and that came through.Thank you to everyone who came. It was epic. DanceBall, karaoke, the Honorary Doctorates, the Nerd Cred certificates, the singing. All of it.Thank you, Lord. Life is better--even more fun--when we do it your way. ...
